My husband brought home a new ‘toy’ – one to help with dog barking. If our two dogs see a rabbit outside, they go nuts!

On their website, they say http://www.barkofftv.net/

Just switch on the BarkOff™ device and an ultrasonic signal, inaudible to human ears, instantly captures your dog’s attention and immediately interrupts the barking pattern.

Also many reviews say that the owners did not know if it was on or working, they could not hear anything.

While watching the series ‘The Greatest American Hero” on hulu.com, I kept hearing a whining / squealing noise. I would pause the show and it went away.

I later told my husband about it. He walked away, asked if I could hear it still.. I could. Another few seconds, could I hear it then? no. I looked at him and asked if he heard it. He said no.

He had turned the BarkOff on before I got home. I did not realize there was one. He would turn it off and on, and I could hear when something from the Hulu show set it off.

I would say it worked, the dogs stop barking after it goes off. But, on the other hand, for some reason, I can hear it too.

In all the reading I have done, and the reviews I have seen, I have not run into this yet.

Makes me wonder if I could hear a dog whistle.

One for the wall of weird.

Have anyone else run into this or used this product?

La Femme Nikita

With CWtv about to bring back Nikita as a new series, it made me want to watch the original again before I see this as a new one. With the original one lasting 5 seasons, I can’t help but wonder if this as a remake will be as popular. Most remakes do not seem to last as long as the original. One exception popping into mind is Battlestar Galactica

1981 The Greatest American Hero

After hearing a clip of the theme from Greatest American Hero ( Joey Scarbury ) I could not help but search for the tv clip on Hulu.

I must say, I am a bit disappointed to read:

“The pilot episode for this series is not available for online streaming at this time. Episodes are posted in the order specified by the show’s producer and may not reflect the show’s original air dates.”

I hope Hulu changes this.

WPWebHost and Elegant Themes

Another big thanks goes out to WPWebHost and Elegant Themes. WPWebHost recently had a contest that I was lucky enough to participate and win a year’s subscription to Elegant Themes.

WPWebHost has been great! I recently moved all of my websites over to this hosting company. They have been great for uptime, technical support and uptime for webhosting. They have great packages at extremely affordable prices. I have been very happy with them.

As for Elegant Themes, I was lucky enough to discover them over a year ago. The owner/creator – Nick Roach designs his premium WordPress Themes. They are beautiful and very functional. Not only are his designs great and coded very nicely, he also supports his themes in the forums. At a price you cannot beat for WordPress Themes, the designs are crisp clean and easy to use. I cannot say enough great things about them!

As I slowly get my websites back up, you can be sure I will be using many of Elegant Themes’ WordPress Themes with them. I am even using PersonalPress at Erica StJohn.com
